Bluff Hut
Bluff Hut is a Department of Conservation basic six-bunk backcountry hut in the Kokatahi River – Whitcombe River area on the West Coast, used for backcountry stays on remote routes. It’s a first-come, first-served hut with no standard bookings required, but you must buy a Standard Hut Ticket (adult or youth) for each night and put it in the honesty box at the hut.
Inside, the hut provides six bunks and basic backcountry sleeping arrangements (including a mattress) plus a fireplace. Water is available but is untreated, and there are toilet facilities with pit-latrine disposal.
