Bogong Rover Chalet

Bogong Rover Chalet is a community backcountry ski chalet in Victoria’s High Country, run by Scouts Australia – Victorian Rovers. The chalet can be used in both winter and summer, including rover and venturer events, and winter use is organised as a series of week-long programs. Closest summer parking for visitors is about 1.5 km from the chalet.

Designed for groups, the chalet has about 34 beds across multiple floors and includes a kitchen. Hot showers are available, and there are 6 toilets; power is provided by generator, and there’s no internet access. Bookings are required, and the chalet operates through its bookings team (including announced 2026 booking availability on its official site).
