Christie O'Rourkes Hut
Christie O'Rourkes Hut is a private, locked backcountry hut beside the Ingeegoodbee River Track in the Alpine National Park. It sits in a private enclave and is not something the general public books for themselves; the hut’s log indicates it has been visited by horse riders, brumby runners, bush walkers, mountain bike riders, and cattlemen.
Access is best made along the Ingeegoodbee Track from the Barry Way near Suggan Buggan (either on foot or by 4WD). The hut has an open-plan interior with a small bathroom, a partially enclosed veranda at the front, and water supplied from a tank system. Heating is provided via either an open fireplace or a slow-combustion stove.
