Bughouse Heights

Loading map…

Bughouse Heights is a crag in Squamish’s Smoke Bluffs, with 19 documented routes spanning 5.4 to 5.12a. The route list covers trad, sport, and mixed climbing, with climbs from 15 to 40 metres.

Named lines include Salamander (5.4), Fata Morgana (5.10a), Pussy’s Galore (5.10b), Twin Peaks of Kilimanjaro (5.10c), Sudden Impact (5.11a), and The Hybrid (5.11a). Bughouse Heights is also a former and common name for the Smoke Bluffs; the broader Little Smoke Bluffs area has historically been described as a winter and early-spring venue because its crags receive sun.

Smoke Bluffs access guidance applies here: some cliffs are on private land and closed, and climbers are asked to keep noise down near homes and avoid anchoring from fences, hydro towers, or similar structures.
