Alpine hutCabane de Saint-Euf is an unmanaged mountain shelter in the Monts du Cantal (within the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d’Auvergne). It sits on a small shelf a few decameters from a river, and a GR trail runs through the Vallon du Rauffet alongside the water.
The shelter is a cabin built in aubier on a cement slab and is moderately insulated; the interior has earthen flooring. Inside you’ll find two wooden tables and four wooden benches, plus an old foldable metal single bed frame and two very old mattresses; sleeping is set up for up to 3 people (with 2 places on the floor mattresses). No stove or fireplace is provided.
There is no nearby latrine. Water is available within about 100 m, but you should treat it before drinking.
