Cougar Bluffs
Cougar Bluffs occupies the lower eastern ridge of Cougar Mountain in the Whistler area. The approach takes about 30–40 minutes and leads to more than 100 m of moderate slab climbing, with sustained crux sections.
Rock development includes the sport routes Cat’s Eye (5.9, 75 m) and Cat’s Cradle (5.9, 36 m). They can be linked in sequence, with a broad bench between the sections and a walk-off connecting them. The area gets afternoon shade and looks toward the Wedgemount/Weart area.
For the documented multi-pitch objective, bring 12 quickdraws and an anchoring rig. Some sections remain dirty or dusty despite cleaning work.
