Downhill Sectors: Tier 4

Downhill Sectors: Tier 4 is a bouldering sub-area in the Tiers of Godman Creek, on the downhill side of the valley near Cypress Mountain. The surrounding Tiers occupy shaded granitic domes with short cliffbands roughly 2–10 metres high and a range of climbing angles. Moby Dick is the documented problem here, graded V1 / 5 R.

Approach from Cypress Bowl Road: park before the first major hairpin, follow the gated Eagle Lake access road northwest, and look for the marker near the 1 km sign directing you toward the Lower Tiers. Keep clear of the active quarry farther along the road. The Tiers generally handle rain better than the Uphill Sectors, but inspect committed features and current conditions before climbing, particularly after wet weather.
