Ghost Lake Hut

Ghost Lake Hut is a Mokihinui-Lyell Backcountry Trust hut on The Old Ghost Road in Kahurangi National Park (West Coast, New Zealand). It’s a 4–5 day advanced track hut that you reach as part of the Lyell Saddle–to–Ghost Lake section, after traveling along predominately open tops before arriving at the hut site (sitting at about 1,200 metres).

The hut has 18 bunk beds, drinking water, mattresses, and composting toilets. Use is via advance booking through The Old Ghost Road booking system; Backcountry Hut Passes and Backcountry Hut Tickets cannot be used here. A hut fee applies, and the hut provides cooking support with gas cooking facilities.
