Godley Hut

Godley Hut is a backcountry hut in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, run by the Department of Conservation. It’s a standard eight-bunk hut in the Aoraki/Mount Cook area and is open for public use on a first-come, first-served basis (no standard bookings required).

There’s no DOC track access to this hut, so you need route planning and navigation (map, compass, and GPS). The hut has mattresses and includes toilets with pit-latrine disposal; no drinking water is provided, and there’s no fireplace. Backcountry Hut Passes and Backcountry Hut Tickets can’t be used at this hut.
