Golden Gate

Golden Gate, also known as Golden Gate Crag, is a small trad-climbing area in the upper Olesen Creek drainage near Squamish. It has five documented climbs ranging from 5.10b through 5.11a, including Side Step Right, Rest in Peace, Rest in Agony, and Where does it Hurt?

Where does it Hurt? is a three-pitch 5.11a that combines a brief sporty 5.11- section with an offwidth pitch and a lower-angle hand crack finish. The area is associated with the Longhouse and upper Olesen Creek climbing zones; a 2019 account described Golden Gate as six three-pitch routes, all around 5.10, so climbers should use the current topo for the route-by-route layout and grades.
