Hundred Mile Hut

Hundred Mile Hut is a small backcountry shelter on Branches Station in the Otago high country of New Zealand. It’s a locked private hut, so you need to obtain permission from the station owners in advance; it can’t be booked through the public DOC online booking system.

The hut sleeps 4 people in bunk-style accommodation and provides basic essentials: heating, mattresses, toilets, and an open fire. Bring your own food, gear, and sleeping bag, and plan to remove all trash after your stay; water is available nearby from a water source close to the hut.
