Kitten Crag
Kitten Crag is a climbing area in the Gonzales Creek sector near Shannon Falls, Squamish. Its 14 documented routes span 5.9 to 5.12c, with both sport and trad climbing and a northwest-facing orientation.
The crag includes short single-pitch options as well as longer multi-pitch lines. Adventure Cats is a six-pitch, 400-foot 5.9 trad route; Big Kitten is a 30 m sport pitch with 14 bolts; and Laser Pointer reaches 5.12c over two pitches, with a 30 m second pitch protected by 12 bolts.
Trad objectives include Hiss Sharma, a 33 m 5.10a line with two bolts and gear placements suited to two each of Black Diamond #0.3–#3 cams. Cuddles and Destruction is a three-pitch 5.10c route with 20 m, 15 m, and 30 m pitches, descending by two rappels.
For route selection, the topo includes moderate lines such as Hiss Sharma and Purrito at 5.10a, alongside harder sport routes including Scratch Meowntain at 5.12b and Wiggle, Wiggle, Pounce! at 5.11c. Inspect committed features before climbing and account for wet-weather sensitivity when conditions are damp.
