Lily Pad Lane
Lily Pad Lane is a granite sport-climbing crag in Cypress Falls Park, with 15 routes ranging from 5.10c to 5.13c. The climbing is predominantly vertical to overhanging, with a reputation for demanding, powerful routes suited to climbers looking for harder sport objectives.
The crag begins about 30 m upstream from the main Cougar Crag wall and is split between two distinct walls. Most lines are approximately 12–15 m long and protected by five or six bolts. Seepage commonly affects the first two bolts, so a stick clip is useful; the creekside approach may involve a short wade, although a faint trail on the canyon’s right side can provide a dry alternative.
Water levels are an important consideration: the area is generally most practical when the creek is low, typically from late July through September. A prominent detached Wolf Head feature overlooks the second wall and is intentionally not bolted.
