Mangataramea Hut

Mangataramea Hut is a 4-bunk private backcountry hut used on the Owhaoko A Trust hunting blocks in Hawke’s Bay. It’s set up for helicopter access, and bookings/arrangements are managed through Helisika Helicopters.

The hut has a gas cooker and gas setup, plus basic kitchen items such as cutlery and crockery, along with mattresses. Seasonally, the block is closed annually from 20 December to 1 March and from 1 June to 30 September.
