Mt Fyffe Hut

Mt Fyffe Hut is a standard 8-bunk backcountry hut in Ka Whata Tu o Rakihouia Conservation Park (Clarence, Marlborough). It’s run by the Department of Conservation and is set up for multi-night stays in the South Marlborough area; the hut books ahead for your dates and there are no spaces kept for walk-ins if it’s full.

The hut uses untreated water (via a water tank), has pit latrine toilets, and includes a fireplace. Fees apply, and you can use Backcountry Hut Passes at this hut; hut bookings are required all year, with online bookings opening for stays up to 30 June 2027 and same-day online bookings available until 8 pm if beds remain.
