No Mans Hut
No Mans Hut is a wilderness backcountry hut on private Maori land in the Ruahine Forest Park area. It’s reached via the No Man’s Road track system and is used by hunters and trampers as an overnight base when moving through the Eastern Ruahine Forest Park hut network.
Planning access is key: No Man’s Road has restricted access and requires an access permit to cross Big Hill Station, and it is not suitable for 2WD vehicles. Once you’re in the hut, expect to manage your own essentials—bring your own food and cooking setup, and plan around the hut’s basic facilities.
