Old Hedley Boulders

Old Hedley Boulders is a granite bouldering area between Princeton and Hedley, about 1 km west of the Old Hedley Road–Crowsnest Highway junction. The area has 35 documented problems spread across the Clearing, Pictograph, Roadside Boulders, and The Beach subareas, with the Pictograph Area accounting for 21 problems.

The pale pink-to-white granite is edge-oriented rather than dominated by Squamish-style slopers. Boulders sit along the toe of a large talus slope, with some sandy landings in the forest but uneven landings on many of the problems; bring a crash pad. Some lines may be dirty and loose rock is possible.

Pictographs occur on boulders in the area, including the Pictograph Boulder. Do not climb on or touch them: they are significant cultural resources with meaning to local First Nations peoples.
