Opal Wall
Opal Wall is a climbing area on the Stawamus Chief in Squamish, near the Apron and South Gully. The approach starts from the Apron parking area and follows the forest trail between the Apron wall and Opal Wall; the base of Rock On is about 20 minutes from the parking area.
The area includes short and multi-pitch traditional lines. Mercy Street is a 60 m 5.10b trad route, while The Opal is a 5.12d trad climb. Mushy Peas follows corners on the left side of the wall for 190 m over eight pitches at 5.11c, with varied crack and chimney climbing.
Nearby multi-pitch options include Attack Of The Arc’Gucci Clones, a six-pitch 5.11+ mixed trad-and-bolted route with pitches ranging from 5.9 to 5.11+. Its anchors are fixed, and the line combines near-vertical rock with short overhanging sections.
