Overly Hanging Out

Overly Hanging Out is a small climbing area within The Malamute in Squamish, British Columbia, with three primarily sport-climbing routes.

The route Overly Hanging Out is recorded at 5.11−, approximately 55 m long and three pitches. Historical accounts trace its progression from a largely freed 5.10c climb with aid remaining in 1980 to a complete free ascent by Peter Croft and Knight at 5.11c in 1982; the final aid points were on a series of overhanging overlaps. Scout the committed features before committing, and inspect the rock closely after wet weather.
