Prow Wall

Prow Wall is a high-elevation climbing wall on Stawamus Chief in Squamish, directly across South Gully from Squamish Buttress. It is known for demanding multi-pitch traditional climbing on the Chief’s upper walls.

The principal Prow Wall line is an eight-pitch, approximately 200 m traditional climb rated 5.14a. Sonnie Trotter completed its first free ascent in 2016, described as the Chief’s first multi-pitch 5.14. Other established hard lines include Gravity Bong and Teddy Bear’s Picnic, both 5.13a.

Written in Stone climbs the left side of the wall as an eight-pitch 5.11d route. Its character is technical face climbing mixed with finger cracks and flakes, with generally good protection and bolted cruxes. Written Into The Prow links pitches from both routes at 5.12c.
