Public Works Area

Public Works Area is a Godman Creek bouldering area with a small cluster of boulders and a concentrated selection of quality problems. The setting includes unusually tall bouldering lines for the area, with cracks and problems reaching roughly 20–30 feet or more.

From the main parking lot, walk east along Cypress Bowl Road past the Public Works Yard, then turn north onto the mountain-bike trail. After a couple of minutes uphill, reach a junction; turn left (west) for Public Works Area, while continuing uphill leads toward Rusty Barbeque.

The area includes problems from V1 to V2 as well as harder projects. Blasted is a V1 sit-start to the lip, Waste Water is a V1 corner crack, and Emergency Alert and Inspection Standards are both V2. Pothole is also V2, but its rock quality warrants caution.
