Shutes Hut

Shutes Hut is a DOC backcountry hut in Ruahine Forest Park, used for tramping and hunting stays. It’s a standard four-bunk hut with a concrete floor, built from local stone and cement mortar, and it has a fireplace at one end. Inside, there are bunks/mattresses for four people, and the hut includes pit latrine toilets nearby in the hut area.
