Sport Temple
Sport Temple is a compact sport-climbing crag in Cheakamus Canyon, with a short, slightly overhanging granite wall and smooth, bouldery routes. The area has roughly 14–15 sport climbs, ranging from 5.9 to 5.13c, including Phantom Menace (5.9), Gong Show (5.10a), Palomino (5.10c), Exit Stage Left (5.11c), and First Blood (5.13a).
The crag is reached from the Conroy Creek Forest Service Road parking area by crossing Highway 99 and following the forest path a short distance north. The approach uses two thin fixed lines for a scramble, then continues for about 10 minutes on forest trail. The wall is visible from the highway, making the sector easier to locate than many Cheakamus Canyon crags.
Several routes offer useful shelter in light rain, while the climbs beyond Gong Show are slab routes and are not covered. Expect short, concentrated climbing: First Blood is a 10 m, five-bolt 5.13a, while Phantom Menace provides a two-pitch option with a 5.7 first pitch and a 5.9 second pitch.
