Stodys Hut

Stodys Hut is a 6-bunk basic hut managed by the Department of Conservation, sitting on the Breast Hill Track in Hāwea Conservation Park. It’s on the Te Araroa Trail and can be busy over summer.

Use is free and no bookings are required—beds are first come, first served. Bring bedding/sleeping gear; the hut has mattresses, plus a fireplace and pit latrine toilets, but no drinking water is provided.
