Ten Man Hut

Ten Man Hut is a Department of Conservation basic 8-bunk hut in the Tongariro Forest Conservation Area (Central North Island). It sits in a visible clearing off Top/Clymo Track at about 680 m and is reached via the 42 Traverse Track, then Top/Clymo Track for the final approach.

Use is free and no bookings are required—beds are first come, first served. Facilities are limited: there’s a fireplace, sleeping mats, and pit latrines; drinking water is untreated.
