The Basement

The Basement is a sport-climbing sector in The Sanctuary at Crumpit Woods, Squamish, on granite with a southeast-facing aspect. The documented routes include The Crescent, a 5.12b line measuring about 13–15 m and protected by seven bolts.

The Crescent follows a seam dividing a scooped wall, with varied movement throughout. Access to the crag has been subject to a temporary closure connected with the Eagle Mountain–Woodfibre gas pipeline project; the warning is dated May 1, 2026, so verify current access before planning a visit.
