The Black Zawn

The Black Zawn is a climbing crag in Squamish’s Smoke Bluffs, on the cliff above and south of Crag X. It sits among the Smoke Bluffs climbing areas near Easter Island and Upper Crag-X, and is treated as a distinct area in Squamish climbing references.

The crag has a developing history dating back at least to the early 1980s, when a burst of route development produced several notable lines. A current addition is White Men Can't Jump, an independent route a short distance left of Slipping Clutch, graded 5.13a and established by Jason Green in 2022.
