The Brohm Dome
The Brohm Dome is a west-facing crag across Highway 99 from Brohm Lake, within Brohm Lake Day Use Recreation Site. The area has 35 routes, with sport climbing from 5.8 to 5.13 and trad lines from 5.9 to 5.11; most of the sport climbing sits around 5.11–5.12.
The wall stays shaded through the morning and receives filtered afternoon shade from surrounding trees, making it a useful evening option in cooler conditions. After extended rain, routes in the middle of the wall can seep, while lines near either end dry faster.
A 60 m rope covers the routes. Sport lines are generally closely bolted, so bring a generous set of quickdraws; most trad routes call for small cams. The approach begins at the Highway 99 turnoff for Cat Lake, following a trail from the north end of the parking area for roughly 10–15 minutes.
