The Cage

The Cage is a compact climbing area within The Malamute near Squamish, British Columbia. It has five recorded routes on an approximately 18 m wall, with trad, sport, and general rock-climbing lines represented.

The Malamute requires a rap-in, climb-out approach because the Canadian National Railway right-of-way runs below the cliff. Climbs beginning within 8 m of the tracks are closed; keep clear of the railway corridor and use the established rappel and climbing systems.
