The Distillery

The Distillery is a compact sport-climbing sector in Area 44 near Squamish, British Columbia. It has 12 bolted routes on a wall about 10 m high, with difficulties reaching 5.11+.

From the northbound Tantalus viewpoint on Highway 99, cross the highway from the parking area and follow the Area 44 approach trail. The Distillery branches off near the trail to The Pillary and is roughly 10–15 minutes from the viewpoint.

The sector was developed in 2014 on previously moss-covered, featured rock. The routes were newly bolted at the time of the sector’s introduction, and the original topo cautioned that some grades might need adjustment.
