The Hideout
The Hideout is a compact sport-climbing crag in Cheakamus Canyon with 23 routes from 5.9 to 5.13d. The wall reaches about 20 m, and the approach takes roughly five minutes from the parking area.
Climbing changes across the wall: the left side is predominantly slab with steeper opening cruxes, while the far right becomes steep and longer, combining bouldery cruxes with pumpy, juggy movement. Vespidae Staredown (5.10c) and Dream with the Fishes (5.11c) are notable moderate options; The Horticulturist (5.12c) is a 25 m, 11-bolt line above the platform.
From behind the salt shed, follow the dirt road past the overgrown yellow gate. Stay on the trail as it bends back toward a small creek, then turn uphill. Do not block or park beside the salt shed, and respect all closed projects.
