The Playground

The Playground is a compact granite crag in Squamish’s Crumpit Woods, with 14 short routes ranging from 5.4 to 5.11d. Climbing is predominantly sport, with slab, vertical, and overhanging terrain; routes are approximately 8–15 m long.

The easier slab climbing is concentrated on the left, while the right side becomes vertical to slightly overhanging and reaches 5.11d. The crag is less than a minute from the road via Mamquam Forest Service Road and Powerhouse Springs Forest Service Road, with the wall about 50 m beyond Swampthing Boulder. A bolted 5.5 on the far left provides access to the top; use that route rather than walking around the cliff to set top ropes.
