Tititea Lodge

Tititea Lodge is a backcountry alpine hut in the Matukituki Valley area, near Mount Aspiring National Park. It’s operated as an outdoor education and group facility under the Mount Aspiring Outdoor Education Trust, and it originated as a former high-country homestead (the Mount Aspiring Station homestead).

Because it isn’t run like a standard public hut, casual overnight bookings may not be available through typical hut booking channels; group visits are arranged through the trust’s contact process. Rotary clubs, schools, and outdoor excursion groups are regular users, so plan for group-focused scheduling rather than individual hut reservations.
