Tower of Power
Tower of Power is a compact sport-climbing sector in Cheakamus Canyon near Squamish, British Columbia, with six documented routes. The wall is rarely visited, making it a more specialized objective than the canyon’s larger sectors.
The route list spans 5.9 to 5.13a. Lower-grade options include Psychosomatic at 5.9, 20 m and nine bolts, and Dart Therapy at 5.9, 16 m and eight bolts. Co-dependants Anonymous is 5.11a, 20 m with nine bolts; Tourette’s Syndrom and Tiny Turtle are both 5.11b.
The harder end is represented by Biceptual Lover, a 5.12b sport route measuring 23 m with 10 bolts, and Baby’s Got A Temper, a 5.13a line of the same length with 11 bolts. Biceptual Lover crosses three roof sections and is regarded as some of the steepest climbing in Cheakamus Canyon.
