Upper Gully
Upper Gully is a sport-climbing sector in Area 44, Squamish, with eight recorded routes from 5.9 to 5.11b. The compact lineup includes single-pitch climbs between 24 and 39 metres, with 11 to 16 bolts on several of the routes.
Promenade is a 38 m 5.10b line with 15 bolts, while Flight Deck follows a parallel bolt line and reaches 39 m. Rocky Horror combines a steep start with a bulge, face, crack, and corner climbing; The Climb Warp and Riff-raff provide the sector’s 5.11b options. Suspension of Disbelief is a 10 m 5.11a second-pitch extension of Buddabingbuddaboom and can also be reached through Promenade.
The easier routes include Sweet Transcendite and Sideshow at 5.9. Sweet Transcendite starts high in the gully and moves from easier climbing past large detached blocks into harder terrain higher up. The sector is around 335–362 m above sea level.
