Anthony Island
Anthony Island is a wilderness hut point on the map at the SG̱ang Gwaay (Anthony Island/Ninstints) site within Gwaii Haanas. Site access is controlled: boats and kayaks are not permitted in the bay directly in front of the village, and visitors are directed to check in with the Watchmen before proceeding to the site and to stay on designated paths while exploring the village remains and structures.
Overnight stays on Anthony Island are not permitted for visitors; visits are arranged as day trips via licensed operators or via self-guided planning that includes required registration and completion of mandatory orientation for entry into Gwaii Haanas. Independent travel requires a reservation and payment of the visitor use fee, and you must carry your booking receipt and orientation completion certificate (digital is acceptable if saved in advance due to no cell service).
