Bergerie de Colga

Bergerie de Colga is a small, unmanaged stone backcountry hut in Corsica (about 1,410 m). It sleeps 4 on four foam mattresses; it has a fireplace/chimney, but no stove. Use is free and it’s first-come, first-served (typically left open when not being used by the shepherd).

Expect a basic shelter with some safety caveats: the door has had breakage, the interior can be dirty, and the roof/structure has been to leak or lose stones. There’s water immediately nearby (Colga spring/river area), but bring your own food and sleeping gear; there are no latrines and no covers/blankets.
