Black Birch Bivouac

Black Birch Bivvy is a basic 2-bunk hut operated by the Department of Conservation in the Ferny Gair Conservation Area (Marlborough). It’s set up for first-come, first-served stays—no bookings are required—and use is free.

Inside, there are 2 bunk beds. Drinking water is untreated, and there is a pit latrine for waste disposal. A fireplace is not provided.
