Bottom Gordons Hut

Bottom Gordons Hut is a standard 6-bunk Department of Conservation hut in the Leatham Conservation Area (Marlborough region). It’s set up for backcountry stays with first-come, first-served use—standard bookings aren’t required—plus a pit latrine and a fireplace. Fees apply: $10 per night for adults (18+), $5 for youth (5–17), and free for children/infants (0–4). You’ll need to place a Standard Hut Ticket in the honesty box for each night, or use a Backcountry Hut Pass. Access is by 4WD vehicle from Leatham Road, with the DOC directions noting about 1 hr 20 min one way and 29 km one way.
