Blue Mountain Hut
Blue Mountain Hut is a small backcountry hut run by the Department of Conservation in Marlborough’s Glazebrook Conservation Area. The hut has four bunks and includes a wood burner plus a pit latrine toilet; drinking water is not provided.
Historically, it was built by the NZ Forest Service in 1958 as a 4-bunk shelter. Common tramping use ties it into the Waihopai Valley area, with people approaching it via the Waihopai track system and then continuing on routes such as the Bounds Circuit.
