Boundary Hut

Boundary Hut is a backcountry hut in the Te Anau area, set within Mavora Lakes Conservation Park. It’s a standard four-bunk hut and is used for overnight trips by independent walkers seeking a first-come, first-served base in the Te Anau backcountry.

Bookings aren’t required; instead, you buy a Standard Hut Ticket (or a Backcountry Hut Pass) for each night’s stay and place the ticket in the honesty box at the hut. Water supply is turned off from May until October, and the hut has toilets with pit-latrine disposal; drinking water is untreated.
