Boxcar Boulder
Boxcar Boulder is a bouldering area in the Wild Basin sector of Rocky Mountain National Park, about 1.5 miles from the Wild Basin entrance and beside the winter parking area. The boulder has problems ranging from V0 through V11, including juggy, slab, pinch, and steeper lines.
Approach from the end of the winter lot nearest the entrance station: walk up the road for roughly a minute and look to the left. Avoid the private-residence road. Seasonal raptor closures affect parts of the surrounding climbing area, so inspect the current park restrictions before heading in and scout the landing and rock carefully, especially after wet weather.
