Cat Boulders
Cat Boulders is a bouldering area in Lower Arrow Lake, below the Cat Wall cliffs. The setting is a larch forest with quality gneiss blocks; most problems are steep, with large movements and generally good landings. Grades range widely, and the area still has scope for additional problems and variations.
Approach from Broadwater Road: after Brilliant Dam, continue toward Robson and Syringa Provincial Park for about 11 km to a left-side pullout with a small red gate. Cross the road and follow the cairned or flagged forest trail. The Wildcat and Lynx boulders are a few minutes from the approach, while the Cougar boulder lies farther uphill near Upper Cat Wall. Black bears, cougars, deer, bighorn sheep, and wild turkeys occur in the area.
