Centennial Hut
Centennial Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in Westland Tai Poutini National Park (West Coast region). It’s a serviced alpine hut in the Glaciers area that sleeps up to 20 people, and use is open to the public.
The hut is owned and maintained by the New Zealand Alpine Club, and serviced alpine bookings are required. A Backcountry Hut Pass or Backcountry Hut Ticket can’t be used here. There is no DOC track access, so you’ll need to plan your route and navigate with map, compass, and GPS; the hut has untreated drinking water, toilets with pit latrine disposal, and no fireplace.
