Christchurch Tramping Club Lodge
Christchurch Tramping Club Lodge is the Christchurch Tramping Club’s club hut in the Arthur’s Pass area. It’s set up for overnight tramping with a bunk setup: the hut sleeps 13 people across 3 bunk rooms. The lodge provides a full kitchen (including oven, microwave, toaster, and a fridge) plus indoor showers and toilets, along with a heater and a potbelly stove.
For use, you need to bring your own bedding; mattresses and pillows are provided, but you’re asked to bring your own pillow case, and to bring your own toilet paper. Book ahead and pay before leaving town to secure a bunk; fees are $20 for members, $20 for a member’s immediate family (life partner, children, grandchildren), $30 for non-members, $15 for children aged 10–17, and $5 for children under 10. Payment options include debit cards, and the hut charges cash as well.
