East Ruggedy Hut

East Ruggedy Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut on Stewart Island/Rakiura, set within Rakiura National Park. It’s a standard 12-bunk hut in the Stewart Island/Rakiura area, and stays are first come, first served—no bookings are required; you pay by putting a Standard Hut Ticket in the honesty box at the hut (or use a Backcountry Hut Pass).
