Edmonsons Hut

Edmonsons Hut is a backcountry shelter in the Alpine National Park near Mt. Nelse and the Bogong High Plains. It’s used as a free, first-come, first-served stop for both hiking and ski touring, with hut space shared among other users.

Plan on self-sufficiency: there’s no reservation system for getting into the hut. Bring your own food and supplies for the night and expect variable alpine conditions while navigating and using the shelter.
