Fairview Bay Hut
Fairview Bay Hut is a fully enclosed backcountry hut on the Sunshine Coast Trail, first built in fall 2009 and later renovated in summer 2014 to enclose it completely and add a covered porch. It sleeps 10 and is used as a prototype for the other Sunshine Coast Trail shelters.
Plan on a two-hour approach from the Saltery Bay ferry terminal along the hut-to-hut route. The hut sits in a clearing open to the bay, with access to a nearby beach; it can also serve paddlers using the BC Marine Trail.
