Glaisnock Hut
Glaisnock Hut is a standard 12-bunk hut in Fiordland National Park, run by the Department of Conservation. It’s set up for backcountry stays without needing a booking, using a first come, first served approach at the hut.
For sleeping and basic facilities, the hut is provided with mattresses and has a fireplace; toilets are available as a pit latrine. Drinking water is untreated. Standard Hut Tickets are required for overnight stays—buy one per night and place it in the honesty box at the hut (or use a Backcountry Hut Pass that covers unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 12-month period). Rates are listed for adults and youth, with fees also changing from 1 July 2026.
