Goat Pass Hut

Goat Pass Hut is a standard 20-bunk backcountry hut in Arthur’s Pass National Park, managed by the Department of Conservation. It’s set up for hikers doing multi-day routes through the Hokitika area, with sleeping provided for up to 20 people.

Standard hut tickets aren’t required on a booking basis—stays are first come, first served, using an honesty box. DOC hut fees are listed per night (adult, youth, and child/infant rates), with rates changing from 1 July 2026. Water at the hut is untreated, and pit-latrine toilets are provided.
